Karen J. Knight, MS, CCC-SLP is the sole proprietor and clinician in this practice.

She states, “I have worked in a variety of settings during my career, including schools, hospitals and clinics.  In 1987 I established my private practice.  During the past 15 years the focus of my practice has become early intervention and school-aged children. This is an area of concentration about which I am passionate.

I  feel truly privileged to have the opportunity to work with children and their families to help them develop the best communication skills possible.  Watching a new skill emerge is exciting and rewarding for me as well as for the child and his/her family.

I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Speech Correction from the University of Maine at Farmington and my Masters of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of New Hampshire.  I am a certified member of ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association). I have been awarded the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) on numerous occasions. I am a co-author of “Talk About Fun”, a book of therapy activities.

When I am not working with clients, I enjoy running, gardening, reading ,cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.”
